# Find one inbox among thirty

> The name, the description and the tags answer three different questions, and any filtered view is shared through its URL.

An inbox carries three pieces of text you write, and each answers a different
question.

## When to write a description, and when to set a tag

One inbox per test suite, per branch or per pipeline soon fills the name column with
`feat/payments`, `feat/payments-2`, `smoke` and `smoke (old)`. You are then the only
person who knows which is which.

Write a description: it belongs to **one** inbox and is there to recognise it. It shows
under the name in the table and under the title in the inbox view, and is edited in
place in both. Empty the field to remove it.

Set a tag when **several** inboxes go together and you will want to filter them in one
click.

**Emoji are allowed in all three fields.** `🔴 do not delete` stands out in a list
faster than any wording.

## Share a filtered view

Field filters, tag filters and sorting all live in the page's address. A filtered view
can therefore be bookmarked, pasted into a ticket, and found identical after a reload.

## Rename and delete

Renaming happens inline, in the table as in the inbox view. Deletion exists one at a
time and in bulk.

Two things to know before deleting:

- **Deletion takes the inbox's messages and their raw files, immediately.** There is
  no recycle bin. A test inbox deleted by mistake is recreated in one gesture, but its
  mail does not come back.
- **What the inbox received this month stays counted** for the organization, and stays
  attributed to its name in the usage breakdown. Deleting an inbox at the end of the
  month does not erase its usage, see
