# Rename, brand or delete your organization

Your organization carries the plan, the seats, the volume, the billing and SSO. Its
settings are in
[**Settings → Organization**](https://app.facteur.eu/settings/organization), and the
form is read-only for a plain member.

## Change the name

One change, then thirty days before the next. The screen shows the date from which you
can do it again.

The name appears in invitations already sent, in mail already gone out and in what your
other members see. The delay stops a name from changing right before an invitation goes
out, which is the simplest way to pass one organization off as another.

## Upload a logo

Send an image from the same page. It is **re-encoded before being stored**: what we
serve is a rebuilt image, not your file. An SVG carrying a script, or an image with
metadata attached, does not get through that step.

The logo's address carries a fingerprint of its content, so a replacement shows
immediately, with no cache to clear.

A button removes it, with immediate effect.

## Require two-factor authentication from your members

At the bottom of
[**Settings → Organization**](https://app.facteur.eu/settings/organization), a button
requires your members to turn on a one-time code. Until they do, they stay signed in and
keep reading, but can no longer create or change anything.

Two things to know:

- **Turn yours on first.** The button stays inactive until you have enabled your own
  two-factor authentication, otherwise you would be the first person locked out, on the
  very screen that undoes it.
- **There is no exception, not even for owners.** Enrolling takes thirty seconds.
  Mandatory SSO does have one, because a corporate directory can go down.

The same button reverses it, with no condition.

## Delete the organization

Owners only, in the danger zone at the bottom of the page. Retype the organization's
exact name to activate the button.

Deletion takes the organization, its workspaces, its inboxes, their messages, its API
keys and its SSO connections. It is immediate and it cannot be undone.

**It does not erase your user account.** The two are separate, and you may belong to
another organization, see [Several organizations](plusieurs-organisations). To close the

You do not have to write to us to delete an organization: the button does the whole
job.
