Who runs Facteur
Before you hand your tests to a service, you are owed three answers: who keeps it running, where it runs, and how it makes its money. This page gives all three, with no sales detour.
What Facteur does
Facteur gives an automated test suite its own email addresses and its own phone numbers. It receives the messages on their behalf, parses them, and hands them back over an HTTP API, with the one-time code, the links and the attachments already pulled out. A test waiting for a confirmation email therefore has no mailbox to open and no fixed delay to guess at.
Where the service runs
Compute, database and storage all sit with OVHcloud, in Roubaix and Gravelines, France. Your test messages do not leave the country. One sub-processor sits outside the strict European perimeter — Stripe, to take payment — and it never sees the contents of a message. How the product is funded
By its subscriptions, and by nothing else. Prices are published, in euros, from the free plan at zero up to the team plans: there is no quote-only tier, no sales cycle, and no feature reserved for whoever agrees to a call. We resell no data and we show no advertising.
What Facteur does not do
Facteur receives mail; it does not send any. So it is not an emailing service, not a campaign tool, and not a mailbox for real people. The addresses it hands out are test addresses, and our terms ask you not to send real personal data to them.
